Graduated from the Faculty of Medicine with a Department of Dentistry at the Medical University of Bialystok, obtaining the title of doctor in 1989 and dentist in 1992. He specializes in dental prosthetics. He defended his doctoral thesis in 1996 and received his postdoctoral degree in 2013.

He has co-authored more than a hundred full-text scientific publications and conference reports, as well as four book entries: “Periodontal-Implantologic Plastic Surgery,” “Atlas of Prosthodontic Work for Patient Work,” “Team Treatment in Implantology. A continuous journey in search of fulfillment,” and “Periodontal tissue regeneration.” The monograph “Periodontal-Implantologic Plastic Surgery” has been translated into Russian and has seen two editions in Poland and abroad.

He has received a number of awards for his scientific activities, including those of the Polish Dental Society and the Rector of the Medical University of Bialystok. The monograph “Periodontal-implantological plastic surgery” was awarded the prize of the Minister of Health in 2011.

Professor, MD, PhD Jan Pietruski has been conducting postgraduate courses for dentists in implantoprosthetics, occlusion and comprehensive rehabilitation of the masticatory organ for many years. About 2,000 dentists have participated in his courses. He is a recognized lecturer at numerous scientific conferences in Poland and abroad.

He is a founding member and former president of the Polish Academy of Aesthetic Dentistry, editor-in-chief of the Polish edition of the European Journal of Esthetic Dentistry. In addition, he is on the scientific boards of the journals e-Dentico and Digital Dentistry.

For more than twenty years, he has been running a multi-specialist dental practice in Bialystok specializing in comprehensive rehabilitation of the masticatory organ.
