Maciej Żarow
Active Member of the Polish Academy of Aesthetic Dentistry
He graduated from the Faculty of Dentistry at the Semmelweis Medical University in Budapest, Hungary (1995). He obtained his specialization in general dentistry in 1999. In 2003, he defended with distinction his doctoral thesis entitled: “Evaluation of indirect composite fillings in cases of significant destruction of lateral teeth.” In 2005 he completed his specialization in conservative dentistry with endodontics. In 1998-2005 he worked at the Department of Propedeutics of Conservative Dentistry CMUJ in Krakow (2003-2004 as Acting Head of the Department).
Since 1999 he has been running Dentist Private Practice in Cracow and Dentist Postgraduate Course Center, where he teaches courses in endodontics and aesthetic dentistry. In 2003, he was awarded an International Association of Dental Research scholarship for young scientists, which included an Honorary Visiting Appointment at the Universities of Leeds and Manchester, where he conducted work on adhesive bridges and tooth restoration after endodontic treatment.
He is the author of more than 80 papers published in print. He has been a lecturer at scientific congresses in Poland and abroad for many years, including for the postgraduate master’s programs in Endodontics and Aesthetic Dentistry at Universitat Internacional de Catalunya in Barcelona.
Visiting professor at the University of Chieti (Italy). Editor-in-chief of the journal Practical Medicine Dentistry from 2012- 2016. Author of the book entitled” Endoprosthetics – a guide for practice” (Kwitesencja Publishing House, 2013) published in Polish, Russian (2014), English (2016), French (2017), Croatian (2017) and Chinese (2018).
Honorary member of the Italian research group in restorative dentistry “Style Italiano”. Since 2010, an active member of the European Section of the International College of Dentists (ICD) and the Polish Academy of Aesthetic Dentistry (PASE). Active member of the European Society of Cosmetic Dentistry since 2018.
